In January 2026, Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Business, including its Swaraj tractor range, delivered a strong sales performance, indicating solid demand both in India and overseas.

Domestic Market Results

During the month, the combined domestic sales of Mahindra and Swaraj tractors reached 38,484 units, a notable increase from the 26,305 units sold in January 2025. This reflects a 46% year‑on‑year increase, suggesting a healthy rebound in tractor purchases across the Indian agricultural sector. Factors such as increased farming activity and improved financial conditions for farmers helped boost sales.

Export Performance

On the international front, exports also rose sharply. The companies shipped 2,159 tractors abroad in January 2026, up from 1,252 units in the same month last year. This jump represents around 72% growth compared to January 2025, pointing to rising acceptance of Indian‑made tractors in global markets.

Overall Sales Figures

Mahindra & Swaraj tractor sales (domestic + export) rose to 40,643 units in January 2026, compared to 27,557 units in January 2025. This translates into an approximate 47% increase year‑on‑year, underscoring a strong start to the year for the company.
