Escorts Kubota Limited delivered a strong start to 2026 with noteworthy tractor sales in January. The company reported selling 9,799 tractors during the month, which is a considerable increase compared to 6,669 units sold in January 202, representing about 47% year-on-year growth.

Domestic Market Growth

Most of the growth came from the Indian market, where Escorts Kubota sold 9,137 tractors in January 2026. This figure stands in contrast to 6,058 units sold domestically in the same month of the previous year, indicating a robust 51% rise in demand from farmers. The higher sales were supported by positive farm sentiment, ongoing rabi sowing activity, better water availability, reduced GST rates, and government incentives that encouraged tractor purchases.

Export Sales Trend

In the export segment, Escorts Kubota shipped 662 tractors abroad in January 2026, up from 611 units in January 2025. Although this reflects a more modest 8% increase, it still shows steady demand in international markets.

Combined Sales Summary

When combining domestic and export figures, the company’s total tractor sales reached 9,799 units in January 2026, up from 6,669 units in January 2025. This overall performance underscores a solid improvement in sales compared to the previous year.

Year-to-Date Sales Comparison

Looking at the longer period from April 2025 to January 2026:

  • Domestic tractor sales climbed to 105,687 units, up from 91,820 units last year.
  • Exports increased to 5,525 tractors, compared with 3,770 units previously.
  • Total combined sales reached 111,212 units, surpassing 95,590 units in the same period of the prior year — showing sustained year-on-year improvement.

Conclusion

Escorts Kubota’s January 2026 sales data reflects healthy growth, especially in the domestic tractor market, backed by stronger rural demand and supportive macro conditions. Export sales also contributed to the overall rise, signaling continued momentum for the company’s agri-machinery business.
